Mr. Robert Clay Brumfield, age 77, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Robert was born in Huntington, West Virginia on July 31, 1946 to the late Norman and Anne Hall Brumfield.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, David Brumfield.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Karen Lee Brumfield; brother, Lee Brumfield; sons, Mathew Brumfield and Isaac N. Brumfield; and grandson, Robbie Brumfield.

Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving proudly in the US Navy. He loved raising livestock, such as his hogs and cows. Robert will be remembered as a jokester, always getting those around him to laugh at his tall tales. He was a marvelous painter who created beautiful works of art as well as beautiful hand-made knives. Most importantly, Robert loved his family.

A memorial service to honor the life of Robert Clay Brumfield will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM.
