Robert Edmond Byerly, IV, 28 of Hudson passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023.
RB was born on October 24, 1995, in Catawba County to Jessica Duncan and Robert Edmond Byerly, III.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessica Duncan; and grandparents, Robert Byerly, Jr, and Martha Byerly.
Rb's smile and eyes would light up any room he walked in. He never met a stranger, and those who loved him knew him for his ability to make you laugh. His pride and joy were his kids Peyton and Westin. He loved to cook for his family and have cookouts for his family and friends. Recently, he rekindled his love of music and was a very talented singer and guitarist.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Robert Edmond Byerly, III, and his stepmom Christina Byerly; a son, Westin Allen Byerly; a daughter, Peyton Lynn Byerly; mother of his children, Brianna Byerly; brothers: Benjamin Byerly and his partner Qynn Staff and Brady Byerly; grandparents, Gene and Sandy Duncan; great-grandmother Irene Duncan; his girlfriend Hannah Brackett, his aunts and uncles Wesley Duncan and his wife Crystal Duncan, Kimberly Hope Higgins and her husband, Michael Higgins, and Wendy Byerly; numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Poovey's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben Byerly, Brady Byerly, James Pritchett, Michael Ragan, TJ Oliver, and Zack Abernathy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan Watson, Braxton Eggers, Gunner Marcus, and his "brothers" who loved him and spent many hours daily with him on the phone while they were on the road.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Poovey's Chapel Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests monetary donations for the future care of Peyton and Westin.
