Robert "Bob" Lanny Walker, age 92, of Hudson passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at his residence. He was born December 5, 1932 in Caldwell County to the late Jesse "Jack" and Vergie Waters Walker. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Leo Walker; and one sister, Jenelle Parker.

After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952, Bob went on to work in the consumer finance business for the next 40 years. His commitment to this business continued until his retirement in 2000. Bob was an avid member of Hudson First Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kay Bostian Walker; four sons, Greg Walker of Lenoir; Monte Walker (Pamela) of Jacksonville, FL, Marc Walker (Glenda) of Denver, and Zen Walker of Hudson; one brother, Jerry Walker (Gail); one sister, Virginia Walker; six beloved grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Hudson First Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Jarvis officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
