Robert Gary Martin, age 75, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. He was born January 18, 1948 in Caldwell County to the late Robert Lee Martin and Margaret Elizabeth Scott Martin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Delphia Mae Dellinger Martin; one brother, Bill Martin; and one sister, Irene Adkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Steven Wayne Martin and wife Dolly of Gamewell, and Gary Lynn Martin of Hudson; one daughter, Tracy Renee Martin of Gamewell; one brother, Roy Martin and wife Joyce of Lenoir; three sisters, Barbara "Bobbie" Hicks, Margaret "Paulette" Smith, and Deedee Church and husband Charles, all of Lenoir; four grandchildren, Heather Ann Tufts and husband Christian, Stephanie Martin, Brandon Marshall and wife Kayla, and Amber Martin; five great-grandchildren, Grayce Mae Tufts, Carly Marshall, Holden Marshall, Ivy Marshall, and Aubrey Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Louise Branch officiating.
