Robert Lewis McCall, age 48, of Hickory passed away Monday, October 12, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 29, 1978 in Caldwell County to Jayne Icenhour McCall and the late Paul Lewis McCall. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David McCall, Tillie McCall Roots and husband Jack Roots; and his maternal grandparents, Troy and Vergie Icenhour.

Mr. McCall was employed with Hoodsly of Denver and enjoyed working with his hands. He was strong in his faith and active in local missions including Hope Mill through his work and various youth missions with his church. Robert found peace being outdoors, especially when hiking and 4-wheeling. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved camping out at the races with his friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jayne Icenhour McCall; a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Kings Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Goode officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kirk Melton, Kevin Melton, David Greene, Alan Icenhour, Larry Fox, Walt Maxwell, and Josh Goode. Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Crump and Rodney Neal.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kings Creek Baptist Church, 4698 Kings Creek Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645; or Hope Mill, 7830 Commerce Drive, Denver NC 28037-9101.
