Robert Wesley Setzer, age 69, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Amorem Hospice. He was born January 19, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Fred A. Setzer Sr. and Gladys Smiley Setzer.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry E. Setzer and a sister, Mary Frances Kirby.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vicky Spillman Setzer, one son, Robert W. Setzer of Lenoir, one daughter, Amanda Handy and husband Terry of Lenoir, one brother, Fred A, Setzer Jr., of Lenoir, and five sisters; Betty Blalock, Peggy Greene, Ruby Greer, Diane Haney, and Debbie Setzer Hood all of Lenoir; four grandchildren; Mikayla Mitchell, Kyle Handy, Kadin Handy, and Kaitlyn Burgess, and two great-grandchildren, Emeri Mitchell and Addelynn Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Benny Greene and  Roger Edmisten.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
