Robert Dean Wilcox, age 81, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Gateway Rehabilitation and Healthcare. He was born May 24, 1943 in Ashe County to the late Samuel Wilcox and Mattie Ray Wilcox. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Wilcox, Grant Wilcox, and Eller Wilcox; and three sisters, Jean Wilcox, Evon Trivette, and Faye Wilcox.

Robert was strong in his faith and he will be remembered for the unwavering love he had for his Lord and Savior, preaching, and especially gospel music.

Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, John M. Wilcox of Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allan Barlowe officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Wilcox Family Cemetery in Ashe County.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Wilcox, Dallas Wilcox, Junior Trivette, David Wilcox, Earl Trivette, and Ralph Trivette.
