Rodney Dale Reese, Jr., age 36, of Granite Falls passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was born April 15, 1990 in Catawba County to Jamie Watson Collins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jamie Watson Collins (Harry); wife, Tera Hollar Reese; son, Trey Tyler; daughters, Trinity Renee, Kaylee Marie, Paieglee Rose, and Tylisha Morray; brothers, Travis Shomaker (Patricia Gragg) and Hunter Collins; sisters, Ashley Shomaker (William Scott) and Sidney Reese; grandparents, Henry and Sarah Bumgarner, Wanda and Ray Yelton, and Lucille George; step-father, Kevin Shomaker; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Miller and Rev. Sam Craven officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Shomaker, Jake Deal, Brandon Lovins, Shane Mills, Josh Butler, and Mark Barnes.
