Roger "Dale" Holder, age, 82 of Lenoir, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025.

Dale was a hard worker and a strong provider. Many of his early working years were in the furniture industry and sales at Carolina Feed & Seed. His latest employment, in which he retired, was at the Caldwell County Maintenance Department.

Dale loved to travel, there was not a day that went by that he didn't speak about his great adventures when he, family and friends all traveled west to Montana and Wyoming. Dale loved to trade vehicles, coon hunt, deer hunt, ride horses and most of all, spend time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Dale was born on September 6, 1943, to the late John Raymond and Ruth Sanders Holder in Caldwell County.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by sister Judy Elizabeth Holder; brothers John "Danny" Holder and Raymond "Randy" Eugene Holder.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include, his wife of 62 years Linda Kiziah Holder; brother Jack Holder (wife Peggy); three sons: Keith (wife Lynn), Robert (wife Wendy), Chris (wife Angel); grandchildren: April, Shelby, Matthew, Hollie, Brandon, Hannah, Isaiah, Faith, Greyson, and Joseph; numerous great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Roger "Dale" Holder will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00PM at Blue Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Brady Adkins officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir NC 28645.
