Roy "Keith" Pitts, age 73, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Keith was born on May 20, 1952 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Roy and Patsy Pitts.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Pitts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Martha Pitts; daughters, Christy McMahan (Mitchell) of South Carolina, Catherine Watts (Darrin) of Hickory, and Sarah Pitts of Lenoir; brother, Michael Pitts (Genene) of Gamewell; sister, Anne Bottenfield (Alan) of Georgia; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Watts and Clemson Watts.

Keith was of the Baptist faith. He was a mechanic by trade. He worked many years for the school bus garage, where he made many friends. He never met a stranger, and anywhere he went there was always someone he could talk to. Keith loved old cars. He could fix any old car and just about anything else in general too. If someone needed something fixed, they brought it to Keith. Keith loved his family, and he will be dearly missed.

A memorial service to honor the life of Roy Keith Pitts will be held at Grandview Baptist Church on January 10, 2026 at 2:00PM with Reverend Raymond Spann officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the church.
