Ruby Reagan Clement, age 90, of Hibriten Drive S.E. Lenoir, died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Gateway Nursing Center. She was born January 29, 1918 in Jackson County, NC to the late Albert and Sue Snyder Reagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl William Clement; a daughter, Judy Hartzog; three brothers, Dexter Reagan, Luther Reagan, and Howard Reagan; and a sister, Josephine Reagan Allison.

Mrs. Clement was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening, growing flowers, sewing and making arts and crafts. She was a member of Half-Century Home Demonstration Club for many years.

Survivors include three sons, Noel Clement and wife Jean of Catawba, William Clement of Lenoir, Walter Clement and wife Donna of Dillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Bolick and husband J.D. of Granite Falls; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Reagan Rawley and husband Mann of Eckerd, CO; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister- in- law, Mrs. Hazel Owen of Whittier, NC; and a brother-in-law Fred Clement of Anderson, SC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Greer McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Don Ingle and Rev. Ron Winkler. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park .

The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
