Ruby Dellinger Craig, age 87, of Lenoir, left the world peacefully Monday, September 14, 2020.  She was born June 4, 1933 in Caldwell County to the late Rev. Oscar C. Dellinger and the late Annie Crisp Dellinger Craig.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Craig, Albert Coffey, and William T. Coffey, Sr.; two brothers, Clarence Dellinger and Russell Dellinger; two sisters, Leckie Dellinger and May Benfield; and three step-children, Marshall Craig, Bruce Craig and Deborah Craig.

Mrs. Craig had retired as the food service manager for 27 years at Broyhill Furniture Industries Corporate Office and was a lifetime member of Baptist Churches in Caldwell County.

Ruby was a loving, Christian mother. She enjoyed helping others and she treasured her many friends.

Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Coffey and fiancée Martha of Edgemont and William Thomas "Tommy" Coffey, Jr. and wife Thelma of Collettsville; one daughter, Joyce C. Watson and husband Tom of Lenoir; one step-daughter, Barbara Craig Hudspeth and husband Terry of Collettsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; along with many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Crisp Family Cemetery conducted by Rev. James Baker and Rev. Adam Calloway.

Due to COVID-19 social distancing and masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, North Carolina, 28645. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice for their kindness and care given to Ruby.
