Ruth Delaine Laws Adams, age 72, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. She was born November 4, 1950 in Caldwell County to the late Thomas Rayvaughn Laws and Betty Lee Reid Laws. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Adams.

Those left surviving include one daughter, Cynthia Annette Wright and husband David of Tennessee; one step-daughter, Stephanie Adams of Lenoir; one brother, Steve Edward Laws of Lenoir; two sisters, Paula Laws Teague and husband Ronnie, and Rita Laws Key, all of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Anthony Williams, Ryan Barnett and wife Haven, and Jamie Adams; and two great-grandchildren, RJ and Oaklee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jamie Propst. Interment will immediately follow at Celia Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
