Sadie Todd Woods, age 91, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Margate Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson.

Born August 12, 1932 in Caldwell County, Sadie was a daughter of the late John C. and Lula Pearl Smith Todd.  Sadie was a longtime member of the Yadkin Baptist Church where she was involved with the choir.  She volunteered with Hospice for many years.  Sadie had also spent her entire working career as a cafeteria worker in the Caldwell County School System.  Most of all, she was a devoted Mother and Grandmother.  She will be remembered as "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Harold Woods; a sister, Nina Todd; brothers, Bunah Todd and Riley Todd.

Survivors include her son, Todd Woods, Sr. (wife Lisa J.); a daughter, Sarah Dodson; a sister, Mary Todd Miller (husband Herbert); her grandchildren, Julie Russell, Heather Norman, Jamie Herman, Todd Woods, Jr., Meredith Testerman, Clay Fillers and Ethan Dodson; she is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Sadie's life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Livingston officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
