Sandra Kilby Smith, age 75, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1950 in Wilkes County to the late Alvin and Agnes Bauguss Kilby. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Kilby and Harvey Kilby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis D. Smith "D.D."; one son, Justin Smith and wife Tiffany; and four beloved grandchildren, Caiden Smith, Jensen Smith, Logan Smith, and Aubree Smith.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. James Todd, III officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
