Sarah Jean Woods Dodson, age 75, formerly of Lenoir passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at Life Care Center of Banner Elk. She was born April 25, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Eugene H. Woods and Sadie Virginia Todd Woods.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Ethan Dodson and wife Allison; two daughters, Heather Norman and husband Josh and Meredith Testerman and husband Erik; one brother, Todd Woods and wife Lisa; and seven beloved grandchildren, Elijah Norman, Micah Norman, Jonah Norman, Noah Norman, Gabriel Dillon, Lily Testerman, and Amelia Dodson.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Livingston officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell Animal Shelter, 180 Government Way, Lenoir, NC 28645.
