Sarah Kirby Younce, age 76, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Amorem Hospice. She was born April 20, 1949 in Caldwell County to the late Glen and Evelyn Laxton Kirby. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Younce.

Mrs. Younce was a member of the American Business Women's Association for 17-years and proudly had perfect attendance for all meetings, as well as a 14-year member of the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as a volunteer in the gift shop, pet therapy program, and current President of the Auxiliary Board, and Vice President of the Catawba Valley Obedience Club. She was an avid animal lover domestic and wild.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Glenda Watson (Steve Holtsclaw) and Mary Dula (husband Tim), one niece, Christy Gilbert (husband Tyler); great-niece and great-nephew, Lilly Gilbert and Liam Gilbert; children, Jeff Younce (Amy) and Karen Annas (husband Mark); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous beloved extended family and friends; and her faithful companion, Beau.

A private graveside service will be held.
