Shelby Jean Summerow, 82, of Hudson, passed into eternity on January 22, 2024 at Frye Hospital.

Shelby was born November 7, 1941 in Watauga County to the late Tracy and Dorothy Triplett Saunders. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Jones; husband, Eugene Summerow; and young sister, Shirley Saunders.

She is survived by her brother, Bob (Wanda) Saunders; sister, Patsy Hayes (Donnie Beach); and her much loved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
