Mrs. Shirley Covington Foster, age 76, of Granite Falls, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Shirley was born on March 6, 1948 to the late William Covington and Mabel Brown Covington in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald Foster.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Nancy Hawkins (Jonathan) and Rebecca Gilbert; sister, Mary Church; grandchildren, Alanis Ball, Mark Hawkins, Sabrina Ball, Ryan Hawkins, Robbie Gilbert, Jordan Hawkins, and Anthony Collins; and great-grandchildren, Addaline Spencer and HenleyFay Hawkins.

A memorial service to honor the memory of Shirley Foster will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2pm at Lakeview Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Lawrence and Reverend Ron Burgett officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1pm- 2pm at the church.
