Shirley Coffey Kincaid, age 86, of Lenoir passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at UNC Health Blue Ridge. She was born September 1, 1938 in Burke County to the late Wilburn "Carey" Coffey and Jennie Woods Coffey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kincaid; two brothers, Edgar Coffey and Wilburn C. Coffey, Jr.; and five sisters, Virginia Moses, Coline Coffey, Betty Coffey, Lucy Hartley, and Mary Greene.

Mrs. Kincaid was a faithful member of East Flat Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved daughter, Denise Norris and husband Dennis of Hudson; eight nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at East Flat Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Mitchell officiating.
