Stephen Neil
Brennan
Sep 25, 1953 — Nov 8, 2025
Stephen N. Brennan, 72, of Granite Falls, NC , left this world to begin eternity with God in early November 2025, after a lengthy illness.
His kindness, generosity and fun- loving spirit will be sorely missed by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Steve grew up in Richmond, VA and was one of twelve children. His family enjoyed many great friendships in their church and neighborhoods. The Brennans grew to love baseball and football watching the farm teams play in that area.
As a young adult Steve began working with his dad in the flooring industry. He became known as the carpet master by many in the Tidewater area and went on to own his own business.
Steve was an active church member for many years, and God blessed him with a heart for prayer and for those struggling financially within the church. Later in life Steve became a wonderful flower gardener, even having his yard chosen by the City of Chesapeake as "Yard of the Summer". He was known by many of his neighbors, who admired his garden and often sought his advice about gardening or home repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vivian Brennan; his brothers, Johnny, Michael, Robert, David, and James Brennan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen L Bridges, his stepson, Jeremy Bridges; his siblings, Martha Camire (Bob), Donna Beale, Paul Brennan(Rosalind), Elaine Minnaert, Mary Womack(Bruce), and Karen Schalow; his grandchildren, Lexi Gossom and Lantz and Lyncoln Martin; along with his many cherished nieces, nephews, and their children.
A family service will be held November 22, 2025 at 1:00PM at Hudson First with Reverend Mack Jarvis officiating.
"For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd , and He will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Revelation 7:17
