Stephen Roy Hallead, a resident of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the age of 71.

Stephen was born to William and June Hallead on December 17, 1952 in Connecticut.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Scott Hallead.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his daughters Audrey Joyce and husband Rory, Malorie Slusher and husband Adam, and Lindsay Decatur; grandchildren, David, Liam, Sadie, Jaxon, Emelie, and Noah; sisters, Susan Smith and Kimberly Hallead.

Stephen was a master craftsman and builder who spent his adult life providing for his family by the works of his hands. His work building new homes as well as restoring historic homes and businesses will stand to preserve his legacy as a brilliant artisan.

Stephen found great joy and comfort in spending quality time with his family as well as time in nature. He took many trips with his family to his favorite mountains, lakes and overlooks, creating traditions and lasting memories that his family will cherish and pass down to the next generations.
