Stevenson Curtis Gaines, age 88, of Lenoir, NC passed away on December 5, 2025.

He was born in Hudson, NC to the late Albert W. and Stella Gaines on May 18, 1937.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gary, Ricky, and Jimmy Gaines.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jewel Dean Gaines of the home; his children, Tim (Angie), of Lenoir, NC and Nathan (Alexandra), of Gastonia, NC; granddaughter, Elizabeth; siblings, Albert Jr. Gaines, Jackie (Ronnie) Cardwell, and Sandy Maust all of Lenoir, NC; Susie (Johnny) Nichols, of Hudson, NC and Walter (Sandra) Gaines of Buffalo, SC.

A graveside service to honor the life of Stevenson Curtis Gaines will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 11am at First Baptist Church of Whitnel Cemetery with Reverend Stuart White officiating.

The family will receive visitors in the fellowship hall following the graveside service.
