In Loving Memory of Susan R. Toth

Susan R. “Susie” Toth, born December 17, 1945 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully on July 15, 2026 in Lenoir, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of Herbert Peterson and Ethel Chamberlain, and the cherished sister of Pamela Lathrop and Peter Peterson.

Susie lived her life with a vibrant spirit and a boundless energy that everyone around her recognized instantly. She loved crafts, decorating, and creating beauty wherever she went. She was always moving, always planning, always doing — never one to sit still when there was something to make, fix, or brighten. Her hands were rarely idle, and her heart was always engaged.

She was the loving widow of Marshall Passmore and later Michael Toth, carrying their memories with grace and strength throughout her life.

Susie is survived by her four children — Marshall Passmore III, Gerald Passmore, Cleveland Passmore, and Katrina O’Donnell who knew her simply as Ma — each of whom carries her legacy of resilience, creativity, and devotion.

Her life was defined by love, motion, and the joy she found in caring for others. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her humor, her unstoppable energy, and the way she made every space feel a little more like home.

Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit remains in the countless moments she shaped and the lives she touched.

A graveside service and burial will be held at Willow Dale Cemetery in Bradford, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. A celebration of Susie’s life will follow.
