Taddeus (Ted) Szczerba, age 66, of Lenoir, N.C. and formerly of West Mifflin, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Lenoir Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Pamela Helen (Smith) Szczerba; and three sisters, Josephine (Bernard) Zelik, Rosemarie Gavin, and Christine (Patrick) Espy.

Ted was the only son of the late Thaddeus Szczerba and Clara (Matuszewski).  He graduated from West Mifflin North High School and moved to Lenoir, N. C. where he worked as a furniture maker at Broyhill Pacemaker from 1986 to 2008.  Ted was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church.  Ted loved his family, dog, The Steelers, and going to outdoor concerts.  He shared his sense of humor and love of movies and oldies music with everyone.  At Christmas time, Ted would make delicious cheesecake and stuffed cabbage for his Pittsburgh family to share when he visited them.  But most of all, Ted was a wonderful, kind, and caring husband who supported his wife in many different ways.

Services will be private.

The family is grateful to all the nursing and hospice staff who took care of Ted in the final days.
