Mrs. Teresa Faye Shoemake Lambert, age 60, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer on February 2, 2025.  She was at home surrounded by the people she loved most praising God as she passed away.

Teresa was a dedicated wife, mother and nana.  She loved to talk about her love for God.  Her favorite activities were to hunt, fish and ride on Lake James with her husband.  In her younger days, she also enjoyed riding motorcycles.  She loved to attend Mountain View Baptist Church and listen to her church family sing.

She was the most selfless, loving and caring person you could ever meet.  During her illness, all she could think about was the welfare of her family and friends.   Always wanting to make sure they were going to meet her in Heaven.  One of the most important things to her was her love for the Lord and wanted everyone she came in contact with to know him on a personal level and to know he is the Lord of their life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Jim" and Faye Marler Shoemake; A sister, Debbie Shoemake Porter; step mother, Miladeen Watson Shoemake; step brothers, Alan and Douglas Carter.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years who was her rock during her illness, Shane Lambert; a son, Chaz Michael Lambert; a daughter, Megan Brooke Lambert (husband Brian); a step daughter, Stephanie Ann Farr; three sisters, Darleen Clark, Donna McCall and Sandra Millwood; her mother in law, Marlene Carpenter Lambert; her grandchildren, Addyson and Spencer Lael; a nephew, Thomas Monroe Porter, II; a niece, Amber Dawn Shoemake; two great nephews, Brayden Gage Porter and James Edward Holman (wife Chloe Alexis); a great niece, Molly Mae Holman; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Teresa's life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Hoyle officiating
