Terry King, age 60, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in his home.

Terry was born on March 14, 1964 to the late Fred King Sr. and Helga King in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lynn King; daughters, Jenny Moore Burke (Shannon) and Ashley King Coffey (Jake); brother, Fred King Jr. (Leigh); grandchildren, Melyah Burke, Briley Nicole King, Loralei King, and Hadley Ilsa Coffey; and best friend to Terry and Lynn, Tonya Callaway.

Terry was the pastor of Gospel Barn from December 4, 1999 until Sunday, May 5, 2024. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was his wife's world and he cherished his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Terry loved to play golf. He worked for PFGC as a fleet manager for 19 years and was a dedicated employee.

A funeral service to honor the life of Terry King will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am with John DeMauro officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10:00am-11:00am.

Interment will follow the service at Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Burke, Chris Wilson, Jerry Moore, Lieutenant Colonel JP King, Ken Chester, and Calvin Harrison.

The family requests that in leiu of flowers donations be made to Amorem Hospice at 526 Pine Mtn. Rd Hudson, NC 28638.
