Thelma Louise ("Tiny") Stafford Taylor died at the age of 102 in Lenoir, North Carolina.  Louise was the daughter of the late Seth Stafford and Hester Stafford of the Dudley Shoals area of Caldwell County.  Louise was the loving wife of the late Donald Jethro Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her two children, Richard Douglas Taylor and Joyce Elaine Taylor Leaird.

Louise was proud of receiving the Key to the City of Lenoir by Mayor Joseph L. Gibbons on her 100th Birthday. Louise will be remembered by many for her special country cooking recipes and her famous coconut cake.

Louise is survived by her daughter-in-Law, Terry M. Taylor; her grandchildren, Rick (Tina) Taylor, Brad (Jackie) Taylor and Ashley Brooke Taylor; and was the devoted great-grandmother of Anna-Marie, Dawson Grace, Mary Louise, Chase and Kennedy.

Louise was cared for by many special family and caregivers including her nephew Tim Hart and devoted friend Kathy Philyaw.  Louise was comforted in her later years by her faithful canine companion Foxy.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Taylor will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Burns officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
