Theresa Scarlett Schwab, 57, of Lenoir passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at her home following a period of declining health.

Theresa was born on December 6, 1966 in Duval County, FL to Ronnie Lee Scarlett and Judy Carolyn Bradshaw.

Theresa was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. As a child she enjoyed being in nature to explore and play. She and her sister Patrice would lie under the sky and see what shapes they could see in clouds and stars while listening to music. She loved to dance, her favorite songs were Dreamweaver and Purple Rain. Going into adulthood, Theresa faced many trials and tribulations and came out of them stronger and more determined than ever. She worked in manufacturing. She was a seamstress, and hospitality attendant for the majority of her career. Theresa had a wonderful sense of humor, a heart of gold and she was selfless. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She always had a shoulder for them to cry on in time of need but reminded them that they were capable of anything. She loved Betty Boop, Eeyore, Indians, Nascar, wolves, dragonflies and hummingbirds.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Lee Scarlett; Daddy, Albert Lee "Butch" Bradshaw; and a son, Scottie Ray Sigmon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Judy Carolyn Bradshaw; sons, Phillip Raleigh Barkley and Timothy Allen Schwab; daughter, Scarlett Cohee and husband Joseph Cohee, Jr.; three stepbrothers; sisters, Carol N. Whitner and Patrice D. Scarlett; and grandchildren, Taryn Ray Sigmon, Cameron Scott Sigmon, Tristen Alexander Sigmon, Shawn Thomas Suttle, Sheldon Lee Suttle, Jayce Scott Sigmon, Chandler Reigh Schwab, Bridgett EveLynn Schwab, Kennedi Faith Cohee, and Aubree Kaye-Marie Schwab.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Springs Road Baptist Church from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating.
