Thomas Lee Greer, age 83, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1942 in Caldwell County to the late James Clarence Greer and Bernice Dula. He was raised by the late Bynum and Leona Ferguson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane Chalmers Greer; and one sister, Jeanette Barbour.

Mr. Greer was a retired insurance agent. He also worked many years at the Red Pig Bar-B-Q.

He is survived by one son, Daniel Greer; two daughters, Marnie Ross and husband Terry and Teresa Calloway and husband Tony; two brothers, Glenn Greer and Michael Paul; one sister, Janet Greer; five grandchildren, Candace Booker, Therese Blystone, Katie Galarza, Kevin Calloway, and Sarah Calloway; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Alfonso Gamez officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Calloway, Terry Ross, Tony Calloway, Damion Galarza, and Richard Blankenship.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
