Thomas L. "Dusty" Martin IV, age 43 of Lenoir passed peacefully after fighting a courageous battle with diabetes on Tuesday, March 26th 2024 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Thomas was born June 5, 1980 in Caldwell County to Debra Baker Martin and Thomas L."Rocky" Martin III. Known affectionately as "Dusty" to many, Thomas worked professionally as a property manager for over fifteen years. Thomas provided a lasting impact on a multitude of people throughout his career, investing heavily in the people he met. To know him was to love him as Thomas had a very big heart that led him to invest in numerous community projects over the years. Thomas loved his family and was a very dedicated friend who provided an air of joy and fun wherever he was. Thomas loved to travel and see new things, have new and interesting experiences and live life for each day.

Thomas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hugh Edward Baker Sr. and Lillian Maude Roland Baker. paternal grandparents Thomas L. Martin Jr. and Rachel C. Martin, uncles Hugh E. Baker, Jr. and Joel R. Martin, aunt Elizabeth Crisp, and cousin Thomas Dula . All of Lenoir.

Thomas is survived by his mother Debra Martin,  father Thomas "Rocky" L. Martin III (Marissa),  aunt Susan Olson (Duane), Jane Griffin (Greg) cousins Christopher R. Baker (Alex Tolbert), Cole F. Conley (Tiffany), John Madon (Melissa), Kate Martin, Rachel Moore, JT Dula (Alissa) and Eliza Dula, Alexander and Richard Madon, all of Lenoir.

A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at a later date.
