Tony Edward Turnmire, age 56, of Lenoir, NC, passed away on August 17, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father, Grady Franklin Turnmire and nephew, John Franklin Turnmire.

Tony was co-owner of T and T Auto Salvage.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Allene Greer Turnmire; wife, Barbie Turnmire; son Matthew Turnmire (Chloe); daughter, Amy Turnmire; brothers, Kenneth Turnmire, Jeff Turnmire (Cindy), and Greg Turnmire (Kathy); sisters, Rita Mitchell (Wade), Sherry Wolfe (Johnny), and Margaret Carlton (Larry).

Pallbearers will include Hunter Clontz, Eric Miller, Bobby Fisher, Martin Griffin, Eric Holden, and Chris Curtis.

Honorary pallbearers will include Elijah Curtis and Mikah Abernathy.

A funeral service will be held for Tony Turnmire at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00pm, with Reverend Raymond Spann and preacher John Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
