Troy Lee Carroll, 76 of Boomer passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 following a period of declining health.

Troy was born on November 14, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Charlie Carroll and Bertha McGee Carroll. Troy was a one of a kind man who lived life the way he wanted to. He enjoyed riding horses, four wheelers and motorcycles and watching racing. He enjoyed going to the mountains in his later years and spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Carroll; and nephew, Doug Collins.

Those left to cherish is memory are his daughter, Lisa Marie Carroll of Claremont; granddaughter, Sabrina Conley of Claremont; brother, Casey Carroll of Fleetwood; sister, Mary Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephews, Chip Collins of Conway, SC, Jeff Carroll of Boomer, Mark Carroll of Hudson, and Charlie Carroll of Fleetwood; his fur baby, Buzz; and special friends David and Nancy Bostian of Boomer, Danny Triplett of Hiddenite, Linda Babb and Stacy Caldwell from Heritage Place II.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell and Heritage Place II of Conover for the care they provided to Troy.

In honor of Troy's final wishes, the family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
