Vanessa Moody Shatley, age 69, of Lenoir, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 7, 2025.

Vanessa was born on April 8, 1955 to the late Sam and Mabel Moody in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Moody and sisters, Edna Michaels and Debra Newton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Isaac Michael Shatley; daughters, Lisa Shook (Jay) and Kristie Edmiston (Keith); brothers, Carl Moody, Curtis Moody, and Cecil Moody; grandchildren, Brittany Philyaw, Justin Shatley, Jacob Shatley, Shyanna Shatley, Bryson Shatley, Lexie Shatley, Ashley McLean, Dustin McLean, and Hannah McLean; step-grandchild, Jackson Shook; and great grandchildren, Kiley Clark, Khalil Clark, Gannon Smith, Haven Smith, and Abel Smith.

Services will be held at a later date.

Vanessa was loved by all.
