Vera Mae Garnes Haas, age 88, of Hudson, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2023.

Vera was born to the late William and Dorothy Garnes in Caldwell County on March 30, 1935.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Franklin Haas; son, Randall Haas; brothers, James Garnes, Joe Billy Garnes, Ed Garnes, and Harold Garnes; and sisters, Faye Haas, Wanda Walker, and Edith Haas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Floyd Garnes; sisters, Marie Garnes and Ruth May; grandchild Katherine Haas Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Shianna Wilcox and Sarah Haas; great-great-grandchildren Bella Wilcox, Grayson Wilcox, and Briley Wilcox.

Vera was a very active member in her church, Clearview Baptist. She loved her family very much, and they were her life.

A funeral service to honor Vera's memory will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 2:00PM at Clearview Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Clearview Baptist Church.
