Viola Elizabeth Bolick Bentley went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1931 in West Virginia, and married to Larkin C. Bentley of Wilkes Co. for 52 years. Viola worked side by side with Larkin, founding owner of Lenoir Building Supply, serving as Secretary of the company for over 50 years. She is survived by her three sons, Gary, Keith, and James, who continue to operate the business today.

Surviving family members include: Gary (Lorene) Bentley and children Chad (Elaine) Bentley & son, Chance, and Courtney (Jeff) Wilson; Keith (Sally) Bentley and children Becky (Rex) Stokes, and Matt (Allie Rae) Bentley & son Rome; Jimmy Bentley and child Cole (Miranda) Bentley & son, Luke, daughter, Lorelei.

Viola and Larkin were active members of Lower Creek Baptist Church. The family of Viola would like to give a special thanks to the Shaire Center of Lenoir for the loving care she received by their staff over the last four years.

Funeral Services for Viola Bentley will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Lower Creek Baptist Church at 2PM with Pastor Kevin Burns of LCBC and Reverend Ed Stephenson of the Shaire Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1PM-2PM at the church. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
