Walter "Doug" Oliver

December 23rd, 1951- April 26th, 2025

Doug's life was a beautiful song — one of faith, family, and endless love.

A devoted husband to Flossy, a proud father to Bekah and TJ, and a joyful grandfather to Adriane, his heart beat with kindness, music, and grace.  He filled his days with strumming his guitar, lifting his voice in worship, and brightening the lives of everyone blessed to know him.

Though we miss him dearly, we take comfort knowing his journey is not over. He has been welcomed home into Heaven's embrace, reunited with his beloved mom, dad, and four dear brothers who have gone before him.  What a glorious reunion it must be.

Doug's song lives on in the strum of a guitar, in a whispered prayer, and in every act of love we carry forward in his memory.  Until we meet again, Doug. You are forever in our hearts.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Blue Creek Baptist Church, 3580 Still Meadow Way, Lenoir, NC 28645
