Wanda Shell Walker, age 83, of Lenoir passed away in the arms of the Lord and her loved ones on Saturday, October 10, 2026. She was born to the late Lucille St. John Shell and Arlie Shell on May 20, 1943 in Lenoir.

She spent 83 wonderful years spreading love, laughter, joy, and sass to any and all around her. She was unforgettable to those who knew her and she cherished the many friendships she held. She enjoyed telling stories from her 20 years of employment at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

On the weekends, her favorite thing to do was collect and give toys to kids at a local flea market. Their smiles made her day. She loved racing, sports, and quilting. Still, what Wanda loved most was her family. Her love, strong-will, loyalty, and support were unwavering and irreplaceable.

She is enjoying a Heavenly reunion with her parents; her husband, Bruce Terry Walker; and beloved daughter, Lisa Walker Church. She has especially looked forward to being with Lisa again.

Wanda is survived by her sister, Mabel Keller; beloved niece, Regina Miller and family; son, Marcus Terry Walker; forever daughter-in-law, Penny Walker Whisnant; two granddaughters, Chelsee Koscheski (Jared), and Taylor Christian (John Simmons); great-grandson, Oliver Koscheski and two great-granddaughters, Grayli and Valli Simmons.

To honor the wishes of Mrs. Walker no public services will be held at this time.
