Wanda Jenkins Shew, age 74, of Conover passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Carolina Caring. She was born September 20, 1951 in Burke County to the late Ted Jenkins and Lois Carol Jenkins. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Shew.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Donna Ruff (Chuck) and Carolyn Barber (Gary); two sisters, Vickie Britt and Regina Bunting (Chuck); significant other, Neal Caldwell; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Burke Mortuary of Newton, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
