Wesley Eugene Austin, age 58, passed away October 10, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Catawba County. He was born on February 26, 1966, in Caldwell County to Ernest Ray Austin and Janice Lorene Garnes Austin.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Austin.

Wesley coached his children's little league team, and was an avid hunter, whether it was bow hunting, hunting for arrowheads, or hunting shark's teeth at the beach.  Wesley most enjoyed hanging out with his grandkids as a doting Grandpa.

Wesley had a wonderful career working with his dad and son in construction for many years.

Wesley is survived by his parents, Ray and Lorene Austin; two sons, Miles Austin and wife Lauren, Grayam Austin and wife Brooke; daughter Trinity Farr; grandchildren Olivia Austin, Luke Austin, Grayson Austin; and Fiancée, Tonya Looper.

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Clearview Baptist Church in Lenoir with Rev. Geoff Daye officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1pm-2pm at the church.

Interment will follow the service at Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.
