Willard McDonald Sides, 93, of Lenoir entered the Gates of Glory on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Willard was born on October 26, 1930 in Burke County to the late Charles Oscar Sides and Sarah McKelvey Sides.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jerry Mitchell Sides and Paul Dennis Sides (Susan Webb); daughters, Pamela Woods and Kathy Thompson (Robert); grandchildren, Darren Sides, Lacey Thompson, Brett Thompson, Cody Hamby, Dalton Sides and JR Hahn; great-grandchildren, Ashley Sides, Savannah Sides, Mason Sides, Anson Hamby, Adley Hamby, Abram Eli Hamby, and Owen Sides; and great-great-grandchildren, Scarlett Sides, Myia Sides, Emmitt Sides, Brandon Sides, and Keane Thompson.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at East Flat Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at East Flat Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at East Flat Baptist Church Cemetery.
