William Homer Miller, age 88, of Lenoir passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at Carolina Caring of Newton. He was born June 14, 1935 in Watauga County to the late Joseph Grant Miller and Ida Matokie Watson Miller. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Carroll Miller; son, William Homer Miller, Jr.; and ten brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Greg Miller and wife Kelly of Lenoir; two daughters, Cynthia White and husband Bruce of Hickory, and Kathy Whittington of Lenoir; one sister, Joyce Miller Rhymer and husband Stewart of Boone; two grandchildren, Joseph Allen White and Kensy Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and two very special life-time friends, Sam Clawson and Joy Greer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Spann officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
