Willie Gene Surratt, age 67, of Granite Falls passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Amorem Hospice. He was born January 28, 1956 in Cleveland County to the late Joan Surratt. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by one son, Montrell Haynes; and one sister.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 21 years, Michelle Gleaton Surratt, of the home; one daughter, Tiffany Surratt of Hildebran; one brother, Danny Middlebrooks and wife Marian of Mountain View; one sister, Shelia Rhyne and husband Rick of Banoak;  one step-son, Steven Shoun and wife Melissa of Newton; two step-daughters, Samantha Sealy-Michaels of Claremont, and Dianna Brittain and fiancée Jason L' Esperance of Lincolnton; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
