Cara Fantasia Lane, age 27, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born December 20, 1993 in Burke County to Christy Michelle Buff and the late Tommy Wayne Lane. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by one nephew, Noah Zander.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her mother include her maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Buff, of Morganton; paternal grandmother, Rose Cornell of Morganton; three brothers, Codi Buff and wife Crystal, Dillon Brewer and wife Kimberly, and DJ Greer, all of Morganton; two sisters, Hannah Waldron, and Jena Lane and significant other Austin, all of Morganton; three nephews, Alex and Avery Buff, and Ethan Zander; three special cousins, Kolton Piercy, Isiah Rudisill, and Rylan Rudisill; two uncles, James Richard Buff and Teddy Lane; two aunts, Karen Buff and Tammy Powell; and numerous beloved cousins and friends.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Cara will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, US Hwy 70, Morganton, NC conducted by Rev. Terry Robinson.
