Ralph Roberts, age 78, of Lenoir passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born April 16, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Elzie Roberts and Georgia Rainwater Roberts. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Roberts.

Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a hard worker and did everything with the same pride as he did serving our country.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sons, Jerry Teague and wife Marie, Dion Roberts and wife Gloria, and David Roberts and girlfriend Christy; four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren and his long time love, Carol.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bryan Davis and Rev. Cody Teague.  Burial will immediately follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Military honors will be provided by the Army National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
