Roy Douglas Coffey, age 85, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Carolinas Healthcare System Blue Ridge- Morganton. He was born November 1, 1935 in Caldwell County to the late Vilas and Bessie McGee Coffey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Setzer Coffey; one son, Daniel Roy Coffey; one brother, Grady Coffey; and one sister, Marie Bearden.

Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Glenn M. Coffey and wife Ann of Lenoir, and Reggie Goble and wife Cathy of Maggie Valley; two brothers, Frank Coffey and Larry Coffey, both of Lenoir; one sister, Ruby Coffey of Lenoir; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Stuart White.
